Front/Main Page
The front page of classEfind has links to every other page within the site, allowing for quick and easy access to the entire site. When first arriving at the site, consider whether you want to place or search for classified ads. If you want to place an ad, proceed to place an ad on classEfind. If you are searching for ads, you have a large variety of methods to do so. If you are looking for something fairly broad, select a category under which it is most likely to be and search there. For more obscure classified ads you may need to search 'All Categories', or use one of the advanced search engines.

Category Searches
The category search pages are very straight forward. Select a category to search within from the pull-down menu, and type in a keyword/phrase that will help direct your search. When searching the 'Transportation', 'Merchandise', and the 'Real Estate' categories, you will have the additional options of specifying price and model year range.

Advanced Keyword Search
Use the advanced keyword search page to look for specific items in classEfind. The keyword search will be limited by the category you have selected in the drop-down menu, so that if you have selected the category 'Transportation' and the keyword 'Ford', classEfind will only look for 'Ford' through the 'Transportation' section. The advanced keyword search also allows you to specify terms to NOT display. For example, if you wanted to search using the keyword 'Ford', but did not want to see the mini-van ads, you could enter 'van' in the NOT area, which would show you all the ads containing the word 'Ford' but exclude the ones containing the word 'van'.

Location Search
This page allows you to specify a province to search within, or to enter a Canadian postal code and the range (in kilometers) around that postal code to search within. Since all of our classified ads are stamped with the latitude and longitude of the publication that published it, our system can determine the distance from your postal code to the ads. The rough distances that are displayed are direct calculations, and do not conform to actual driving distances.

Newspaper Index
ClassEfind now offers a newspaper index of all of our member publications, containing links to the individual publication's web sites. The index is divided up into provincial listings, for speed and ease of use. This service allows member publications to interact with classEfind users on a one-on-one level, and is especially useful for searching by specific publications because classEfind has set up a classified ads listing on each of these publication's web sites.

Placing an Ad on classEfind
Since classEfind does not want to compete with its member publications for revenue, you cannot directly place an ad on classEfind. Instead, you must place an ad in one of our member publications. Once you've placed your ad in a member publication, your ad goes into classEfind automatically and you get internet exposure through classEfind as well as the printed publication.

Notes for American Users
- Unless otherwise noted, all prices will be listed in Canadian currency. Follow the link to www.expedia.ca to use their currency converter.
- The postal code search does not allow zip codes.
- All distances are in kilometers (km). One km is approximately equal to 0.62 miles.
